Transcriptome comparison of physiological divergence between two ecotypes of Portulaca oleracea

نویسندگان

چکیده

According to the survey, wild purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) has two different ecotypes, one with red stem living in an arid environment and green a humid environment. In order explore physiological response strategies of plants environmental changes, these ecotypes were selected as experimental materials. Physiological indices determined transcriptome analysis was carried out screen differentially expressed genes (DEGs) from purslane. The results showed that content soluble sugars, proline, anthocyanins, chlorophylls significantly different, most DEGs belonged WRKY NAC families. Finally, verified by real-time qPCR. Therefore, it can be inferred transcription factor (TF) families may play important role regulating changes anthocyanins osmotic regulators (soluble etc.) through abscisic acid signalling pathway. This will accelerate study at molecular level, provide corresponding theoretical support for its artificial domestication, drought breeding.

Different contributions of local- and distant-regulatory changes to transcriptome divergence between stickleback ecotypes.

Differential gene expression can play an important role in phenotypic evolution and divergent adaptation. Although differential gene expression can be caused by both local- and distant-regulatory changes, we know little about their relative contribution to transcriptome evolution in natural populations. Here, we conducted expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) analysis to investigate the gen...
